Andy + Olivia

“Jam you were absolutely perfect on the day, everything from your speech to your killer outfit (you got a lot of compliments from our guests ) We couldn't have asked for a better celebrant - thank you so much again for being part of our day!”

Andy and Olivia are the ultimate adorable power-couple in the world of online games design.

Their paths crossed IRL back in 2017 when they both attended a get together for the Melbourne video games design community, at the now defunct Bar SK in Collingwood. Olivia recalls being on the same table as this guy with ‘a lot of energy’. It wasn’t until her journey home looking through photos from the event that she recognised that guy as the @andybrophy she knew from Twitter. So she promptly slid into his DMs to say how lovely it was to meet ‘meet’ him offline.

They met up again a couple of months later when Andy invited Olivia along to his housewarming party. There were real sparks flying that night as they instantly connected with one another and danced together all night long. Andy fell head over heels for Olivia and embarked on an epic courtship, with them eventually spending time with each other almost every day and realising that they were so similar in almost every way.

Andy proposed to Olivia as they took their brand new furbaby Nene aka Cinnamon Angel for a walk in between Melbourne’s pandemic lockdowns. In that emotional moment Olivia simply cried and hugged Andy, leaving a very confused puppy screaming and howling in the background.

For Olivia and Andy’s wedding they treated their loved ones to a most opulent celebration held within the lush grounds of Rippon Lea Estate. The weather gods were kind that day as the morning rains passed by the time we came to set up for their ceremony on the lawns in front of the impressive mansion.

Our anxious groom waited excitedly for his bride to arrive for the ceremony. Andy watched as we began the ceremony with the adorable flower children walking in to the sounds of Glass in the Park by Alex Turner. Andy then turned back around in anticipation for Olivia to make her grand entrance accompanied by her loving parents. As Olivia emerged from the treeline Andy turns around to see his beautiful bride for the first time that day looking like pure magic! SLAY!

When it came time for their vows Andy and Olivia each took the mic and spoke directly from their heart whilst looking intently into each other’s eyes. A powerful moment shared with all their wonderful guests.

Andy and Olivia then took a moment to enjoy a wander through the glorious grounds of Rippon Lea as newlyweds whilst their guests enjoyed canape and drinks around the 70’s Hollywood inspired pool. They then had their reception and epic party times within the grand ballroom of Rippon Lea mansion.

Andy and Olivia’s wedding day was simply full of love and magic, a true fairytale ending!

Lara + Dan

“Jam, I say this with all sincerity, you made our day so so special. It couldn’t have been what it was without you. Thank you so much. Many of our guests made a point to say how much they enjoyed your ceremony and how beautiful you were :)”

Lara and Dan are a dream team.

This dynamic duo met at the very beginning of the Tinder romantic period. Lara was inspired to give the app a red hot go when one of her dear friends Burcin came over for dinner and confessed that she was going on a Tinder date the very next day. That night Lara happened to swipe right on Dan’s profile and the rest is pure magic.

Lara recalls walking in on their first date at the Black Cat and immediately recognising Dan from the back. They hit it off over beers and chats about their shared love for music and films. Dan’s first thoughts upon meeting Lara was ‘YESSS! She’s not taller than me!’, he was also instantly attracted to her smile and her passion for filmmaking. They shared their first kiss that night at Dan’s tram stop and they have been pretty much inseparable since that day .

Over the next 5 years Lara and Dan dated, travelled together and eventually moved in with each other. Dan then finally coming through with a beautiful post beach day proposal down in Dromana on Jan 3rd 2020, little did they know that the whole world was about to change. The various Melbourne Lockdowns meant that Lara and Dan’s original wedding date had to be rescheduled again and again.

It was the third time that was the charm for Lara and Dan’s wedding ceremony. These two chilled out lovers didn’t stress or fuss through all the uncertainty. It reminded them of the time they were stranded in New York when their flight was cancelled. This time instead of booking a hotel and wandering the streets of New York, they stayed in and had movie nights with fancy order-in dinners and cocktails. No matter what life throws at this dream team, they will always have each other to pivot and make the most of the situation.

Lara and Dan rocked out their wedding day doing exactly what they love. They got the day started with a shoot walking around the backstreets of Fitzroy with the amazing Kat from It’s Beautiful Here. Lara and Dan then met with some of their friends for some pre-ceremony cocktails at bar Amarillo on Brunswick Street. Our lovers then made their entrance into their wedding ceremony at Rupert on Rupert hand-in-hand, walking in to a live performance of Cat Power’s Sea of Love by Lara’s former bandmate Charlie.

Lara and Dan’s ceremony was full of joy with all their stunningly dressed guests joining in the laughs and cheers. Once the ceremony wrapped up everyone was treated to a night of deliciousness by the Rupert crew accompanied by a fiery dancefloor lead by Lara and her roving wedding band.

It was such a vibe!

Dennis + Christine

“Jam was super helpful and friendly to work with from start to finish in the process of planning our wedding to the day of the wedding. The communication was fantastic and Jam was so flexible and understanding, she was there to guide us through the cancellation of our first date due to covid and made the whole process for our second date easy and reassuring. On the day of the wedding, the guests had nothing but good things to say about the ceremony and that was a huge credit to Jam. Thank you so much!”

LOVE WINS!!!

It was such a joy to see these two sweethearts get hitched. Not only did COVID19’s pandemic pandemonium ruin Den’s original idea of an epic Euro trip proposal in honour of their 5 year anniversary (they made up for it with staging a euro themed dinner in their living room), it also meant that they had to postpone their original wedding date due to Lockdown 4 or was it Lockdown 5… Anyhow when I finally got to get them hitched they ended up being my 50th wedding couple and I couldn’t be more happier to share that milestone than with these two lovers!

Christine and Den’s paths crossed at Christine’s good friend Isabella’s birthday bash. Den’s good friend Jono was quite keen on Isobella and convinced Den to come along to the party with him, with the promise of cool chicks and a free ride there. Den thought ‘Fuck it! Why not!’ It was a good call!

When Den got to the party he was greeted with Jello-shots and met some of Isabella’s friends, one of them being Christine. Den recalls instantly digging Christine’s style and at one point in the night Christine jumped onto the couch with her buddy Sarah to dance to Taylor Swift’s “Shake it off”. Jono immediately turned to Den and said ‘That’s a Dennis Girl’. For Dennis had a very specific type, an alternative looking girl that usually wears clothes from Princess Highway.

Luck would have it that Jono and Isabella became a thing and Den would often see Isabella and ask her ‘How’s that friend of yours Christine doing?’. Isabella then passed on the message with the added good word that Den is really funny and a great driver. Armed with that knowledge Christine added Den on the book of faces and slid into his DM. They had some cute chats and went on their first coffee date. Den was so nervous at their first date that he walked out of the cafe and forgot to pay. He thought to himself ‘Yep, that pretty much confirms that.’ He has found his Dennis Girl.

For their wedding ceremony, Den and Christine brought their loved ones together for a wonderfully delicious day at the Post Office Hotel in Coburg. Christine’s cousin Nicola performed a couple of songs throughout their ceremony and they had also invited their good friend Katie to come up and speak. Christine made her spectacular entrance to the ceremony in a standout vintage ride accompanied by her ultimate love squad. And when Den finally saw Christine walk up with her parents he was blown away at how stunning she looked in that magnificent Vampire’s Wife red dress. Our lovers were finally able to join their hearts and hands in marriage supported by their nearest and dearest. I love their post ceremony walk down Coburg laneways with their love squad and their first dance as a married couple at a carpark rooftop.

You two rock!!!

Annabel + Kasper

“Jam was fantastic, just the right amount of preparation yet she embodied such a relaxed and natural feel which suited us so well as a couple. We felt absolute trust that the whole process would be smooth and most importantly enjoyable which Jam absolutely delivered on. Would highly recommend Jam to a couple looking for someone to marry them that feels like a guest and friend.”

Annabel and Kasper are a fairytale tinder dream date come true!

As modern day lovers they swiped right over each other’s online profiles and took their chat across platforms onto the Insta. Annabel was impressed by Kasper and thought he was pretty cool so she made the next bold move and asked Kasper out on a date! Our girl decided to be brave, take a chance and for the first time ask someone that she likes out.

Kasper rocked up to their first date at the Builder’s Arms in Fitzroy dressed very low key in overalls and covered in dirt from a day of upholstering. Annabel saw through his uncharacteristically rough appearance and still thought that he was very handsome, with a great sense of humour and also an attentive listener. At the end of the night Kasper offered Annabel a ride home in his mum’s Subaru, not his usual ride of choice which is a 1965 Valiant AP6, nevertheless he still scored a goodnight pash at the end of their date. And for their second date of pasta at Pellegrini’s, Kasper made sure he had enough time to clean up and was dressed in his usual selvedge denim, vintage watch, cardigan, signature slicked do and not a hair out of place.

They fell in love during their early morning strolls to the Vic market getting boreks. And when they decided that they wanted to get hitched Kasper proposed to Annabel on one of their days in the city and they celebrated with getting pasta back at their spot at Pellegrini’s.

For Annabel and Kasper’s wedding day it was all hands on deck as they did things their own way. Their laid back ceremony and wedding celebrations were held within Kasper’s parents’ lush back garden down in Aireys Inlet. Our lovers were driven in by their good mate in a vintage 1957 Chrysler Royal and the day was captured by their friend Alex. They even had a delicious home made wedding cake baked by Kasper’s mum Vicki. It was so wonderful to see everyone come together to celebrate the union of these two beautiful lovers.
