Georgia + Calvin
“Jam was incredible from start to finish! She really knows her stuf and made us feel excited and well cared for the entire time. Everyone at our wedding commented on how funny and cool her vibe was. Jam added so many special details, I will recommend her to everyone!!”
A wonderful Valentine’s Day country wedding for a pair of adorable sweethearts.
I couldn’t have asked for a better couple for my 100th wedding ceremony.
Calvin and Georgia grew up in the same neighbourhood, in fact their childhood homes almost backed onto each other. They even went to the same primary school, and was finally put into the same class in grade 3. And by grade 6 they finally found themselves sitting on the same table, at which point Georgia developed a mini crush on Calvin.
They eventually became friends in high school and it wasn’t until the very end of their secondary schooling that they finally got together. They came clean with their feelings for each other when they went on a ‘non-date’ to check out a potential bar for their friend’s 18th birthday party. Their love have since grown and matured, and you can say that they were always meant to be.
For their wedding day they wanted to have it in Trentham, a special part of the country that’s very close to Calvin’s heart. Calvin has the fondest of memories, of growing up and visiting Trentham to see his nan. So it made perfect sense to host their wedding day within the iconic rustic Cosmopolitan Hotel on main street Trentham.
I also have a special connection to Trentham and the Cosmo. My darling artist friends Marc Wasiak and Gerard O’Connor have an old church property out that way and we’d been visiting them up there for over a decade. When in town, we’d often find ourselves at the Cosmo. Marc and Gerard have even had exhibitions of their photographic artwork within the pub. So when the Cosmo manager Fiona recommended me for this wedding, I felt very honoured.
For their Valentine’s day wedding, Calvin and Georgia woke up and got ready at the cozy Cosmo Cottage, the newly renovated boutique accommodation attached to the Cosmo hotel. They had a joyful morning getting ready with their gorgeous wedding party of 15.
My valentine’s sweethearts had their ceremony within Cosmo’s magical lush gardens. Guests were seated, along with the groomsmen standing in place, before Calvin walked down the aisle accompanied by their beloved greyhound Mako. We then saw 9 beautiful bridesmaids make their procession down the aisle followed by our radiant bride Georgia walking in with her proud mama Lisa and sister Maddy.
The whole ceremony and wedding day was beautifully captured by Shaun and Grace from Ring the Bell Weddings. I love the adorable moment where Mako was called upon as the ring doge, he was such a good boy!
It was just most gorgeous day for all and I felt very special to be a part of it.
