Rich and Gaya’s colourful ceremony delivered all of the goods!!!

These two sweethearts matched online through Hinge during the pandemic and had their 1st date IRL ‘exercising’ at a park. Rich then proposed to Gaya whilst they fed black swans by a lake in Ballarat. So it was very fitting for these two nature lovers, Rich being a landscape gardener, to have their wedding set within Gardens House at Melbourne’s Royal Botanical Gardens.

It’s hard not to get caught up in Rich and Gaya’s vibrant world and their wedding day incorporated so many thoughtful elements.

Our wedding party was decked out in traditional Indian attire with Gaya looking like an absolute goddess dressed in a stunningly bold red and gold sari. For their heartfelt ceremony, we took a moment to pause and see our soon to be newlyweds commemorate their dearly departed loved ones by lighting a candle in their honour. We also paid homage to Gaya’s heritage by performing a simplified Indian Thali wedding ceremony. Rich presented Gaya with a gold necklace that was blessed in a temple in Singapore. Followed by our lovers exchanging floral Thali garlands as a symbol of their everlasting bond, and in turn offering them protection and longevity in their marriage.

The sun had set right as the ceremony ended. Our just married husband and wife were set up for a stella love fest into the night with their nearest and dearest.

Our amazingly talented photographer Liam was on hand to capture all of the candid fun and feels. Loving his bonus polaroids and action filled gifs, also worth checking out his Insta for some bonus SmartGlasses BTS content!
